Hi, My name is Lucy Jobbins and I’m a fully qualified, Licensed and Insured, Permanent Makeup Artist. I have been working in the makeup industry for the past 12 years as both my parents and Aunties, owned makeup shops. Over the years I developed a really good understanding of what women of all ages and skin types wanted from their makeup.
All of my family are now involved in Permanent Makeup including my partner Antony Turner.
I became inspired to become a permanent makeup artist after having my own permanent makeup done by my sister, one of the UK’s most in demand Permanent Makeup Artists and the Head Trainer of the Permanent Makeup Training Academy in London Harley Street. My own results were so transformational I realised I wanted to make clients feel as happy and confident as I felt.
Unlike the conventional makeup that would look great but last for just a few hours I realised that the results I could achieve with permanent makeup would provide my clients with makeup that lasts and looks beautiful for many years, and the results can be life changing. Whether I am working on a client having chemo therapy and has lost all of their facial hair to those with Alapecia or allergies to conventional makeup, or those just wanting a new shape for their over plucked eyebrows.
I am absolutely passionate about my work and whatever the age range or reason for permanent makeup I work with my clients on an individual basis to find a perfect natural look that we are both happy with.
As a result of our on-going success and constant requests from experienced technicians for help and advice we are soon going to be offering 1 to1 shadowing days for aspiring permanent makeup artists through the Permanent Makeup Training Academy, who want to watch us work in a real live environment and learn the secrets of our success.
Here’s a little about my training and experience in the industry…
Permanent makeup is both a science and art form and every technician has a totally different skill set and level of training. It\’s not just as simple as drawing a set of eyebrows and tattooing them on.
I personally trained 1 to 1 with Katy Jobbins, Multi Award winning, Industry Expert, Author, Founder, & Head Trainer of the Permanent Makeup Training Academy. My study was broken down into 3 sections these being Medical, Colour theory, & technical.

- Medical Conditions

Further Education …
I have been trained exclusively in the trade marked Katy Jobbins Formula\’s in Permanent Eyebrow, Lash & Liner, and Watercolor Lip Tinting techniques that allow me to provide guaranteed results every time. Before I built up my own clientele I was a training assistant to the Head Trainer at the Permanent Makeup Training Academy, which exposed me to over £100,000 worth of training within the permanent makeup industry. I also helped on administration and editing over 10 permanent makeup industry books and manuals on Advanced Permanent makeup procedures. I also helped film many step by step permanent makeup procedural DVD\’s. This gave me great exposure to many advanced technique giving me a huge boost in my learning curve. I have also attended train the trainer training in Thailand, Malaysia & Singapore to further expand my education and techniques and have been fortunate enough to attend train the trainer seminars across the UK.
Specialist Education …
I have also attended an advanced colour theory master class with Italian industry author Mario Gisburt & Russian Industry Expert Anna Sovina, so I am able to perform corrective permanent makeup procedures on unhappy clients that have had their permanent makeup do elsewhere with poor results.
I Use Only the Highest Quality Permanent Makeup Pigments on All My Clients…
All the colour pigments that I use have been specifically formulated through years of research and development using only the finest grades of iron oxides and lakes, the same ingredients found in make-up giants
Lancome, Estee Lauder, Shiseido, Truco, Guerlain, MAC, Channel and Gucci
cosmetic products. All the pigments I use are medical grade and from the leading suppliers to the medical profession worldwide. All my pigments are hypoallergenic and are also designed for concealing imperfections on burns, scars, cancer, vitiligo, and cleft pallet patients. They have supreme colour concentration meaning less touch ups over the years.
All of my lip and eye pigments are fashioned after the top cosmetic manufacturer colours which remain true over the years. All the pigment bottles are sterile, heat sealed and tamper proof for your protection. Each one is encoded with lot numbers and expiration dates.
All pigment has a micron count of between 6 & 8 to the colour last in the skin. I carry the widest variety of natural permanent makeup colours which I custom blend for Blondes, Brunettes & Women with Silver hair. I can also order designer colours for those wanting more dramatic colour results.
Warning: “Never have your permanent makeup performed by someone using a traditional Tattoo machine! ” …
Many technicians are using traditional tattoo machines as the needles are much cheaper than the specialist permanent makeup needles. However, these tattoo machines are not designed for the face and are often too powerful creating undesirable results for the client. Unfortunately these results are so permanent that they cannot be fixed if the client is not happy with them.
So do your research and make sure the technician is using the right equipment for the job and do not choose the technician on price alone.
My Permanent Makeup Methods & Machinery
The methods, equipment & pigments for performing permanent makeup tattooing and body art tattooing are completely different.
I use only the best permanent makeup equipment with a state of the art micropigmentation digital power source, this is designed specifically for the face and not for body art tattooing guaranteeing clients a very soft and natural result.
The permanent makeup machine has a German engineered motor with a patented and trademarked HD needle system which means I can acheive maximum safety, optimum speed and total control.
All my machinery has been approved for use in the medical industry worldwide.
- The machine guarantee\’s precise, efficient and consistent pigment implantation meaning minimal touchups required.
- The machine is approved for worldwide permanent makeup insurance,
- The machine is approved by worldwide health authorities and complies with worldwide sterilisation guidelines.
The power of the machine means procedure time is reduced by up to 50% compared with the old fashioned rotary permanent makeup machines, less needle speed is required resulting in less trauma to the skin and less discomfort for you. You will therefore leave with no bleeding, no bruising, minimal (if any) swelling – just fabulous permanent makeup which will fade and heal into a natural colour within 4 or 5 days, not weeks or months.
The silicone gasket technology seals off the motor compartment completely which eliminates pigment and fluid back flow ensuring a smooth and safe result.
The machine is designed with microchip digital technology increasing procedure efficiency. The microchip regulates the speed guaranteeing the needle depth at any speed depositing pigment into the skin allowing for a quicker, safer, longer lasting and more beautiful permanent makeup procedure.
Your Consultation & Allergy Patch Test Procedure
All about you …
I keep all my consultations an informal chat with you, we will sit down, have a tea or coffee and go through some pictures. I like you to feel as comfortable as possible and promise not to blind you with science or intimidate you by speaking in medical jargon.
I like to find out what you would really like and dislike about makeup in general. Also I like to see how you currently wear your makeup.
The design of your new Brows, Lips or liner …
Between the two of us we\’ll come up with a design that complements your face, skin tone, age range, hair colour, eye colour and bone structure. You are always completely included and have a say in the design and shape. However, if I really feel the design is going too over the top or completely wrong for you, then I will be honest and advise against it.
Everyone is different, there is no one size or style to fits all. The result can be as subtle or transformational as you like. I can create optical illusions that can take years off your face or simply give you more symmetry giving you a fresher, healthier look.
Performing the procedure …
I believe that less in more when it comes to permanent makeup and you can always use conventional makeup over the top for an evening effect.
I always start with the end in mind, and gradually build the colour up. I perform all my procedures over 2 sessions to ensure you are over the moon with the end result. I believe it\’s easier to add more at the second session than it is to take away.
So I start with a lighter initial colour and go darker and more prominent with the shape at the second appointment. I\’ve never had a disappointed client using this method.
From time to time a client may want a more dramatic result and therefore 3 sessions may be required and even special pigment colours can be ordered specifically for the look they want.
The Patch Test …
Although all our pigments are hypoallergenic and are designed for those who have even the most severe allergic reactions to conventional makeup, I insist that you have a patch test just to be on the safe side. I will do the patch test at the consultation stage, otherwise if you are travelling from far away I can send it to you in the post with instructions. I simply scratch the skin and apply a cotton bud sized drop of pigment and anaesthetic and wait 12 hours. Providing you have no reaction (I have never had a reaction in my entire time of doing permanent makeup) I can book you in at a convenient time for both of us.
How Can I Guarantee You Will Love Your New Permanent Makeup
When you come into have your permanent makeup done on the day I will ask you about your medical history to make sure there are no contraindications preventing you from having the treatment. I will then tell you about how to look after your permanent makeup immediately after treatment. I also include complimentary vitamin A and D cream as part of the treatment along with full aftercare instructions for you to take home.
You can either bring in pictures of styles, shapes and colours that you like or we can just have a play around with shapes to see what suits you best. I generally will have an idea of what will suit you as soon as I see you. So, if you are unsure leave it to me and I will pre draw the designs to give you an idea of what they will look like on you, before we make it permanent.
Whilst no body has a perfectly symmetrical face, I will always use specific facial measurements to make sure the design we choose fits your face shape.
Once we are both happy with the shape we\’ll talk about styles of pigmenting, whether you want translucent, total block or hair simulation, we will come up with a finished design to suit you and your lifestyle.
We will then discuss and choose the colour together. This is a two stage process as once I see the colour healed into your individual skin tone I will be able to tailor it even more perfectly by going lighter, darker, warmer or cooler. I can even add multi tones to create a 3 dimensional look for lips and eyebrows.
All the fine detail and finishing touches are done at the second appointment.
I have A No Back to Back Treatment Policy …
You are involved at every stage in the process to make sure you are completely happy with your permanent makeup. The treatment normally takes between 1-2 hours, however I never rush any procedure so always book out plenty of time so I\’m never rushing your treatment. It\’s more about the quality of the treatments I provide not the quantity of treatments I perform.
